Even when under heavy siege by massive Mughal forces, the iron-like basalt foundations never crumbled under fire. Later, the brilliant Maratha statesman Nana Phadnavis added elegant stepwells and structured fortifications, sealing its reputation as an impregnable mountain safehouse. Today, as you touch the cold, rugged iron spikes embedded deep within the ancient wood, the whistling wind carries a powerful reminder of old battles. The colossal structure stands completely undefeated, a timeless stone anchor keeping the fierce, brave spirit of the Maratha warriors alive.
