I walked over to a tiny wooden hut near the parking lot. A local village woman was sitting on the floor, stirring a large iron pot over a small wood fire. I ordered a hot cup of cutting chai and a plate of fresh onion bhaji. The food arrived steaming hot on a piece of paper. Taking that first bite was incredible. The spicy, crispy bhaji immediately warmed my tongue. Then, I took a slow sip of the sweet ginger tea, feeling the heat travel all the way down to my stomach. I sat on a dry stone block, eating quietly while the giant waterfall roared right in front of me.
You do not need an expensive restaurant when a simple roadside snack makes you feel this happy.
